Taxes
The 18th district needs a representative who’ll go to Washington and fight to reduce taxes. The tax code is so long and complex it is nearly impossible to navigate. We need lower taxes, an easier-to-understand tax code and a representative who will fight for restraint in Congress.

Spending
Entitlements are out of control. Earmarks are out of control. Federal spending is out of control. Jeanette believes Congress has been irresponsible with spending – the national debt is an invoice Congress is leaving for future generations to pay. A balanced budget is the only answer to bring spending under control.  Jeanette often points to the wisdom of Ronald Reagan, who said “the problem isn’t that people are taxed too little, the problem is that government spends too much.

Jobs
The 18th district has a great mix of resources - High quality of life, a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a skilled and proud blue collar workforce. The transportation system is second to none with airports, the intersection of two major interstate highways and the nearby Ohio River all preparing Eastern Ohio to excel. Good, high-paying, jobs are not a thing of the past and many opportunities exist for recruiting new companies to the area. Jeanette will be a leader for small businesses. While some in Congress seek to destroy the ability of small business owners to stay in business, Jeanette will work on common sense legislation that strengthens rather than weakens small businesses - the backbone of American business.

Immigration
Illegal immigration must be stopped. This means no amnesty for illegal immigrants and the creation of truly secure borders. The stakes are very high, even in Ohio. Illegal immigrants count on the census, and the census, in turn, counts when it comes to congressional representation. Ohio is slated to lose two Congressional seats after the next census to states like California and Texas where illegals run rampant. Immigration is also a security issue. The border must be secured to make our homeland secure, and the drugs that make their way across the border all the way to communities like Dover, Coshocton, Cambridge and Jackson must be stopped before their harm is done.

Health Care
Health care is a constant worry for most families. Most in Washington appear more interested in getting re-elected than in actually fixing the problem, which is easy for members of Congress because they get the best health care coverage available. Jeanette Moll has made a pledge not to ask the citizens of the 18th district to pay for her congressional health care until they get the coverage they need.  Consumers should have more say over their insurance. The system should be portable and more incentives should be created for people to invest in health savings accounts. This is just a start, but it would be a move in the right direction.

Traditional Marriage
Marriage should be defined as only between a man and a woman. Ohio spoke on this issue when it passed a constitutional amendment in 2004, and Jeanette Moll will take Ohio’s message to Congress where she’ll fight back when any San Francisco or Massachusetts liberal tries to force their agenda on the rest of America.

Pro Life
When it comes to protecting the unborn, Jeanette Moll is completely pro-life. Unlike those who only talk a good game, she has lived it. Jeanette graduated from college with two young children and successfully completed law school. With their two daughters growing up, Jeanette and Gary adopted three more children from Children's Services in an attempt to give them a better life as well.
